Casas del Bosque Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Casas del Bosque Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant and expressive white wine from Casablanca, Chile. Aromas of grapefruit, guava, and boxwood are complemented by floral and subtle pyrazine notes. On the palate, it shows remarkable freshness and crisp acidity, reflecting the cool climate of the Las Dichas sector. Meet the producer Casas del Bosque is a pioneering Chilean winery in the Casablanca Valley, recognized for producing cool-climate wines of precision and elegance. The estate combines modern winemaking techniques with careful vineyard management to express the unique terroir of the region. Production Grapes are machine harvested, destemmed, and subjected to a short maceration in a pneumatic press. Only the free-run juice (about 60% of the yield) is used. The must is clarified by static decanting before fermentation with selected yeasts at 14–18°C. After fermentation, the wine rests on its lees for several weeks before blending, enhancing texture and complexity. Tasting notes Bright and aromatic, with notes of grapefruit, guava, and boxwood, balanced by floral and subtle pyrazine hints. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with vibrant acidity and a clean, long finish. Food match Serve chilled between 6–8°C with ceviche, oysters, grilled fish, herb-infused dishes (lemongrass, coriander, basil), green olives, chutney, goat cheeses, seafood risotto, or spaghetti al limone. Zuccardi Los Olivos Chardonnay 2022
Zuccardi Los Olivos Chardonnay is a beautifully crisp and fresh white wine from the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley, Argentina. Named after the olive trees that have shared the Zuccardi vineyards since the 19th century, this wine showcases the purity and elegance of high-altitude Chardonnay with exceptional freshness and character. Why You'll Love It This is Uco Valley Chardonnay at its finest—crisp, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Olive trees first arrived in Argentina during the 19th century when they were brought by European immigrants, and they have shared the Zuccardi vineyards ever since, becoming as much a part of the family as the vines themselves. The result is a wine that combines the purity of high-altitude fruit with careful winemaking, offering exceptional freshness and approachability. Vineyard & Production Grapes are sourced from vineyards located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley. The 2022 vintage benefitted from careful vineyard management and optimal harvest timing. Thanks to deep vineyard knowledge, precise parcel monitoring and hands-on observation, the team harvested each block at its optimal point of maturity. Direct pressing is followed by fermentation with selected yeasts at 13-15°C. A portion of the wine is aged in second and third-fill French oak barrels for 6 months to add texture and complexity. Tasting Notes This crisp and fresh Chardonnay opens with aromas of citrus, white fruit and subtle oak. The palate is beautifully balanced, showing bright fruit character with refreshing acidity and a touch of creamy texture from barrel ageing. The finish is clean, fresh and elegant. Perfect Pairings A versatile food wine, perfect with grilled fish, chicken, seafood pasta, fresh salads, or creamy dishes. Also excellent with white fish and light summer cuisine.
