Crafted in the heart of the English countryside, Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky is a testament to tradition and meticulous detail. The Cotswolds Distillery prides itself on using local ingredients, and this single malt is no exception. The barley is sourced from the Cotswolds themselves, and the water used in production comes from the village supply – filtered, softened, and demineralised to ensure purity. For a truly complex flavour profile, Cotswolds Signature Single Malt undergoes a thoughtful maturation process. A marriage of whiskies matured in two distinct cask types creates a symphony of flavours. First-fill ex-bourbon barrels impart the classic vanilla, honey, and caramel notes associated with American oak. These notes are then complemented by maturation in STR (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) ex-red wine barriques. These unique casks, once used for red wine, infuse the whisky with hints of red fruit and a subtle touch of spice. The result is a single malt whisky that is both smooth and characterful.
