The barley is sourced from the Cotswolds themselves, and the water used in production comes from the village supply – filtered, softened, and demineralised to ensure purity. For a truly complex flavour profile, Cotswolds Signature Single Malt undergoes a thoughtful maturation process. A marriage of whiskies matured in two distinct cask types creates a symphony of flavours. First-fill ex-bourbon barrels impart the classic vanilla, honey, and caramel notes associated with American oak. These notes are then complemented by maturation in STR (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) ex-red wine barriques. These unique casks, once used for red wine, infuse the whisky with hints of red fruit and a subtle touch of spice. The result is a single malt whisky that is both smooth and characterful.
