Dr L Riesling Qba 2024
Dr. L Riesling QbA is a fresh, vibrant, and beautifully approachable white wine from the Mosel, one of Germany's most celebrated wine regions. Crafted by the renowned Dr. Loosen estate from 100% Riesling, it captures the essence of Mosel winemaking, crisp acidity, delicate fruit, and a fine mineral edge derived from the region's iconic slate soils. Why You'll Love It Dr. Loosen is one of the Mosel's most respected names, led by Ernst and Thomas Loosen with an unwavering commitment to quality and terroir expression. The Dr. L range is their entry point into the world of Mosel Riesling, and it is a brilliant one. Working with carefully selected local growers on long-term contracts, the estate ensures consistent quality and a true reflection of the slate vineyards that make this region so special. This is the perfect introduction to Mosel Riesling, and a wine that seasoned enthusiasts return to again and again. Vineyard & Production Sourced from steep, slate-rich Mosel vineyards where the dark soils absorb warmth during the day and release it at night, allowing the Riesling to ripen slowly and develop its characteristic aromatic complexity. The wine is made entirely in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fruit purity, with fermentation stopped by chilling to retain a bright, lively, off-dry style that is quintessentially Mosel. Tasting Notes Pale straw in colour with a luminous clarity. Light, fresh, and expressive on the nose, with citrus blossom, green apple, and a subtle hint of slate minerality. On the palate, refreshing and lively with crisp acidity, gentle off-dry fruit, and a clean, lingering mineral finish. Serve well chilled. Perfect Pairings A wonderfully versatile food wine. Pairs beautifully with lightly spiced Asian cuisine, sushi, fusion dishes, roast poultry, and fresh salads. Also an excellent match for a classic chicken Caesar, smoked salmon, or soft fresh cheeses. The Blend 100% Riesling
