Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Barrel Select Palo Cortado Cask

Glenmorangie’s first Palo Cortado-finished single malt, this 12 year old whisky offers a unique, elegant twist on the distillery’s signature style. After eight years in American white oak bourbon casks, the whisky was finished in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks. This exceptional sherry, known for its sweet and nutty character, imparts a rich depth and complexity to the spirit. The result is a whisky that boasts dark plum and milk chocolate notes, complemented by Brazil nuts and sweet spice.

Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Whisky

Laphroaig Lore is presented as one of the distillery’s richest and most complex expressions, created from a tapestry of casks that span several styles and ages. Drawn from a combination of first‑fill sherry butts, quarter casks and older, more mature stock, it reflects the depth of knowledge passed down through generations of Laphroaig distillers. The result is a whisky that captures the essence of the distillery’s coastal home on Islay while offering a broader, more layered interpretation of its famously intense character. Lore is crafted to honour tradition, weaving together smoke, sweetness and savoury richness in a way that feels both familiar and elevated. The aroma opens with deep peat smoke, sea spray and charred driftwood, followed by notes of dark chocolate, treacle and warm spice from the sherry casks. On the palate it is full‑bodied and powerful, combining rich peat with flavours of black pepper, roasted coffee, dried fruit and a touch of salted caramel. Layers of oak and earthy minerality build as it develops, giving the whisky a sense of depth and structure. The finish is long, smoky and slightly sweet, leaving lingering impressions of spice, cocoa and maritime peat.
