Kleine Zalze Family Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2019

The Kleine Zalze Family Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2019 is a benchmark South African white wine, crafted from premium vineyards in Durbanville and Darling. Widely regarded as one of the finest Sauvignon Blanc vintages in recent history, 2019 offered moderate days and cool evenings—ideal conditions for expressive, balanced fruit. This wine bursts with lively, herbaceous aromas and layered notes of tropical fruit, citrus and freshly cut grass. On the palate it is crisp and concentrated, with green herbal nuances complementing ripe exotic fruit. The finish is long, intense and elegant, reflecting both terroir and expert craftsmanship. A serious Sauvignon Blanc with excellent ageing potential, it will reward careful cellaring over the next few years. Whether enjoyed young for its vibrancy or matured for added complexity, this wine exemplifies Kleine Zalze’s dedication to quality and refinement. 86pts - Robert Parker

Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc is a refined, terroir-driven white from South Africa's Walker Bay region, crafted to express the character of three of the Cape's coolest maritime-influenced growing areas rather than varietal intensity alone. Elegant, precise and beautifully textured, this is South African Sauvignon Blanc at its most sophisticated. Why You'll Love It Southern Right sources fruit from Hemel-en-Aarde, Walker Bay and Elgin, three of the Cape's most celebrated cool-climate regions, blending them to create a wine that favours subtlety, texture and balance over overt pungency. Grown on a mix of iron-rich clay, granite and sandstone soils, each site contributes something distinct: clay adds structure and depth, granite brings aromatic lift and openness, while sandstone imparts bright tension and saline minerality. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc of real complexity and restraint. Vineyard & Production Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Hemel-en-Aarde, Walker Bay and Elgin, grown on iron-rich clay, granite and sandstone soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and purity. No oak is used, and the wine is bottled with minimal intervention to maintain clarity and precision. Tasting Notes Brilliant straw-yellow with green reflections. The nose is restrained yet expressive, with aromas of citrus peel, fresh herbs and white flowers, and a dusty mineral edge. Crisp and elegant on the palate, with ripe acidity and a fine, tensile texture. Flavours of grapefruit, lemon zest and subtle vegetal notes lead to a long, savoury finish with a touch of saline complexity. Perfect Pairings Ideal as an aperitif or paired with raw seafood, fresh spring salads, pickled fish, marinated vegetables and soft goat's cheese. Best served chilled at 10 degrees. The Blend Sauvignon Blanc 93%, Semillon 7%
