Montagny 'Les Thilles', Domaine Philippe Colin 2022

Each of Philippe's wines clearly express their terroirs and Colin treats each plot differently. Two-thirds of his 13 hectares are white, the other one-third red. Philippe uses minimal chemical intervention, relatively low new oak (20-25%) and just a bit of lees stirring during elevage. His Burgundies are seamless – his understanding of expressing terroir is masterful.

Resonance Chardonnay 2021

Résonance Chardonnay is an elegant white wine from Oregon's Willamette Valley, crafted by Maison Louis Jadot 's American estate to showcase the purity and complexity of Chardonnay through Burgundian expertise and New World terroir. With expressive aromatics, refined texture and vibrant minerality, this is a wine that beautifully balances freshness, complexity and finesse. Why You'll Love It This is Oregon Chardonnay at its finest generous, precise, and beautifully balanced. Résonance is the Willamette Valley estate of Burgundy's legendary Maison Louis Jadot, bringing centuries of winemaking expertise to one of America's most exciting wine regions. The result is a wine that combines Burgundian elegance with the purity and intensity of Oregon fruit, offering exceptional quality and character. Vineyard & Production Hand-harvested from vineyards in the Dundee Hills, notably the organically farmed Découverte Vineyard. Volcanic Jory soils and the region's cool climate provide ideal conditions for Chardonnay, delivering fruit with natural freshness and minerality. Fermentation takes place in a mix of French oak barrels, stainless steel tanks and concrete eggs, followed by ageing for around fifteen months to build texture and complexity while retaining purity and tension. Tasting Notes This elegant Chardonnay opens with aromas of vine peach, orange blossom, honeysuckle and lemon peel, layered with apricot, vanilla, brioche and grilled hazelnut. The palate is ample and generous, showing citrus and stone fruit with subtle spice, supported by delicate mineral nuances and lively acidity. The finish is long, elegant and intense, leaving a refined impression. Perfect Pairings A versatile food wine, perfect with roast chicken, creamy pasta, grilled seafood, mushroom risotto, lobster, or scallops. Also excellent with festive occasions and refined dining.
