Pio Cesare Nebbiolo 2020

Pio Cesare Nebbiolo is a beautifully poised and expressive Piedmontese red from one of the Langhe's most respected and historic family estates, crafted from a selection of vineyards in La Morra and Serralunga in the Barolo area and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio in the Barbaresco area. Intense, ripe and fresh with soft, fragrant tannins, this is an outstanding introduction to the world of Nebbiolo from a producer who knows the variety better than almost anyone. Why You'll Love It Pio Cesare is one of Piedmont's most celebrated family estates, with deep roots in both the Barolo and Barbaresco appellations. Drawing fruit from their own vineyards across the Langhe's finest terroirs, this Nebbiolo offers a genuine taste of what makes the variety so compelling, the combination of intensity and freshness, ripe fruit and fine tannins, depth and elegance, at a price that makes it an outstanding everyday expression of the grape. Vineyard & Production Sourced from family-owned vineyards in La Morra and Serralunga in the Barolo area, and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio in the Barbaresco area. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks after maceration on the skins for around 20 days. The wine is then refined in French and Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 24 months, with a small portion aged in barriques, developing complexity and structure while preserving freshness and aromatic precision. Tasting Notes Intense and ripe on the nose with red cherry, dried rose and subtle earthy notes. The palate is fresh and almost sweet in its fruit expression, with soft, pleasantly fragrant tannins and a long, refined finish. Lovely poise and balance throughout. Perfect Pairings A natural partner for roasted meats, braised beef, lamb and aged hard cheeses. Also excellent with truffle dishes, wild mushroom risotto and hearty Piedmontese classics. Von Siebenthal Carabantes Syrah 2022

Von Siebenthal Carabantes Syrah is a premium Chilean red wine crafted from 85% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Hailing from the Aconcagua Valley, it reflects the unique terroir of this region, where cool coastal breezes meet the warmth of the Andes foothills. The vineyard’s location on Panquehue’s terraces provides excellent drainage and optimal sun exposure, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly while retaining vibrant acidity. Winemaking The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for approximately 15–20 days at controlled temperatures between 20° and 25°C. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months, enhancing its structure and complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit. This careful balance of oak and varietal character creates a wine that is both elegant and expressive. Tasting Notes Von Siebenthal Carabantes Syrah has a deep ruby colour with a purple rim. The nose is intense and complex, revealing aromas of violet, blueberry, blackberry, rosemary, cracked pepper, dark chocolate, cedar, and a subtle balsamic lift. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet poised, with ripe black and blue fruits wrapped in fine, velvety tannins and balanced by refreshing acidity. The oak is seamlessly integrated, leading to a long, precise finish with pepper-spiced nuances. Food Pairing This wine pairs beautifully with herb-crusted lamb, beef short ribs with a soy-black pepper glaze, duck breast with blackberry jus, or aged cheeses such as Manchego. It is a wine that rewards careful pairing, enhancing the flavours of rich, savoury dishes. Serving Temperature Best served at 16–18°C to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity and structured palate. Grape Composition 85% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon The name "Carabantes" honours Francisco de Carabantes, a 16th-century Spanish friar credited with introducing Vitis vinifera to Chile, reflecting the wine’s blend of heritage and modern winemaking pre
