Pio Cesare Nebbiolo is a beautifully poised and expressive Piedmontese red from one of the Langhe's most respected and historic family estates, crafted from a selection of vineyards in La Morra and Serralunga in the Barolo area and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio in the Barbaresco area. Intense, ripe and fresh with soft, fragrant tannins, this is an outstanding introduction to the world of Nebbiolo from a producer who knows the variety better than almost anyone. Vineyard & Production Sourced from family-owned vineyards in La Morra and Serralunga in the Barolo area, and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio in the Barbaresco area. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks after maceration on the skins for around 20 days. The wine is then refined in French and Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 24 months, with a small portion aged in barriques, developing complexity and structure while preserving freshness and aromatic precision. Tasting Notes Intense and ripe on the nose with red cherry, dried rose and subtle earthy notes. The palate is fresh and almost sweet in its fruit expression, with soft, pleasantly fragrant tannins and a long, refined finish. Lovely poise and balance throughout.
