Avondale Wine is a pioneering estate located in Paarl, Western Cape, where biodynamic and organic principles guide every aspect of viticulture and winemaking. The name “La Luna” pays homage to the moon’s influence on biodynamic farming, symbolising harmony, timing, and subtle power.

Production

La Luna is Avondale’s signature Bordeaux blend, composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with minimal intervention to preserve purity and terroir expression. The wine is matured in oak and bottled under cork, with a focus on elegance and ageing potential. The 2017 vintage benefited from ideal ripening conditions, producing a wine of depth and finesse.
