The Gremillet estate was founded by Jean-Michel Gremillet in 1979 and is situated in the southern reaches of the Aube, near Troyes, where the vineyards achieve greater ripeness and produce a richer, more characterful style of Champagne . The Ambassadeur Brut is Gremillet's flagship non-vintage cuvee, presented here in a magnum for those occasions that demand something truly special. In magnum, the wine develops more slowly and gracefully, making this an outstanding choice for celebrations and special occasions. Vineyard and Production. Only the first, lightest pressings are used, as is customary for fine Champagne. A classic slow second fermentation in bottle is followed by ageing on the lees for at least 22 months before disgorgement and release. The southern Troyes vineyards contribute the characteristic baked biscuit flavours and toasty yeast overtones that define this cuvee. Tasting Notes.
