The current owners carry a legacy of about 250 years on their shoulders, dating back to the “Grande Dame of Champagne”, Madame Clicquot, who revolutionized Champagne’s quality in the early 19th century. In addition to being the pinnacle of premium wine, a bottle of modern-day Veuve Clicquot represents the benchmark in quality for the entire Champagne region. This bottle is crafted from 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier, all harvested from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. It begins with a complex nose of orange peel, tropical fruit, cassis, and liquorice, with underlying hints of freshly baked bread. The Vintage collection is notable for its use of wines that have been aged in large oak casks, adding a certain steel to the sparkling wine.
