FEW Rye (70cl)

The description below comes from the retailer. Bottle details and price comparisons are listed above.

FEW Rye, hailing from Evanston, Illinois—a city that endured Prohibition for over a century due to its many temperance advocates—is an exemplary product of American craft distilling. With a mash bill rich in rye, complemented by corn and malted barley, it stands as a testament to top-tier quality. Interestingly, the name ""FEW"" derives from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a prominent figure in the Temperance Movement. Now, Evanston is celebrated for this exceptional craft distillery, which produces an array of remarkable spirits. FEW Rye, with its spicy and fruity character, creates a superb Manhattan cocktail. The aroma is notably fruity, featuring notes of apples, pears, and plums, followed by a spicy undertone. On the palate, the flavour remains fruit-forward with dominant hints of apples and pears, alongside subtle touches of unripe banana and candied orange peel. The finish is prolonged and memorable, highlighted by fresh orange juice, spice, and apple tart notes. Overall, this is an extraordinary spirit with a beautifully balanced and fruity flavour profile.
