Fonseca Guimaraens is a distinguished Vintage Port, crafted from carefully selected grapes grown in Fonseca’s Pinhão Valley estates, including Quinta do Panascal, Cruzeiro, and Santo António. This wine reflects the unique conditions of the Douro Valley, combining rich fruit intensity with the house’s signature elegance and complexity. Meet the producer Fonseca is one of the most respected Port houses in the Douro Valley, renowned for its Vintage and Reserve Ports. The winery works closely with its own vineyards and trusted independent growers, blending traditional Douro viticulture with meticulous cellar techniques to produce iconic Ports of depth and character. Production Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo fermentation and maceration before aging in oak vats. Vintage Ports are bottled after a brief period of maturation, allowing the wine to develop complexity and structure while retaining freshness.
