Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve 70cl is a bold and refined single malt Scotch whisky, matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in new charred American oak barrels for a rich, complex flavour profile. Crafted in the heart of Speyside, this expression showcases Glenfiddich’s innovative spirit by marrying traditional Scottish whisky-making with the influence of American bourbon. After 14 years of maturation in ex-bourbon American oak casks, the whisky is transferred to deep-charred virgin American oak barrels, imparting an extra layer of sweetness and spice. The result is a dram that bridges two worlds—Scotland’s smooth sophistication and bourbon’s bold character. On the nose, it opens with inviting aromas of vanilla, brown sugar and fresh orchard fruits , particularly pear and apple. The palate delivers a harmonious blend of toffee, caramel and oak spice , with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg that evoke the warmth of a bourbon-style finish. A subtle touch of citrus zest adds brightness, while the texture remains smooth and creamy throughout. The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of charred oak and sweet spice that leave a satisfying impression. The Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve is a versatile whisky, ideal for sipping neat, over ice or in a classic whisky cocktail. It’s a standout choice for those who appreciate the depth of single malt Scotch with a twist of American influence.
