Green Spot Chateau Leoville Barton is a special edition that brings together two historic families and two stories of Irish endeavour. Chateau Leoville Barton in Bordeaux is overseen today by Anthony and Lilian Barton, direct descendants of Thomas Barton, a Wine Geese winemaker who founded a wine merchant company in 1725 after migrating from his native Ireland. Centuries later, the Barton family's French oak wine casks have been used to finish Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, creating a bottle that is as much about heritage as it is about flavour.

Nose: French oak drives the initial aroma with crisp woodland notes added to the spicy pot still character. The wine seasoning brings a floral perfume and ripe berries to the archetypal orchard fruits. Palate: A very satisfying balance of oak and spices. Vanilla sweetness works in harmony with dry orchard fruits and French oak, combining effortlessly with barley grains to complete the complexity. Finish: Rich French oak slowly fades, leaving the wine and spices of France and Ireland with the last word.
