Retailer-supplied identification details

Source copy retained to help verify the exact product; BottlePicker’s analysis above is based on structured identity and price evidence.

A classic Côtes du Rhône that delivers everything you want from a Rhône Valley red – ripe, characterful, and beautifully balanced with smooth, supple tannins. This approachable wine showcases the elegance of Grenache-led blends, offering both depth and freshness.

Meet the Producer

Boutinot France has a long and storied history in winemaking and wine importing. This wine comes from Patrice Armand, a Cairanne neighbour of Domaine Boutinot Rhône, who owns 40 hectares of sun-drenched vines. His old vines, between 60 and 70 years old, produce low but concentrated yields, delivering exceptional intensity and flavour.

Production

La Chapelle de Marin is sourced primarily from three of Patrice’s parcels: La Combe d’Antide, La Beraude, and Les Sablières. The vines thrive on poor, limestone-rich soils with excellent drainage. Hand-harvested grapes are carefully destemmed and vinified using traditional minimal-intervention techniques, with no oak influence, allowing the pure, fresh fruit character to shine.

Tasting Notes

Juicy, attractive bramble fruit and subtle floral aromas lead into a palate that is up-front, fresh, and layered with warm spice. The wine is balanced and approachable, with real depth and charm. Food match Perfect for summer BBQs, grilled meats, halloumi, and roasted vegetables. Also pairs well with herby sausages or pasta with Mediterranean vegetables. Grape Grenache 60%, Carignan 20%, Mourvèdre 10%

Explainable food matching

Food matches from the recorded grape

These are style-level suggestions derived from the recorded grape variety, not a claim that BottlePicker tasted this bottle. Sauce, sweetness, oak and preparation can change the best match.
