Notably, it is crafted without undergoing chill filtration, and no artificial colouring is added, preserving its natural essence. To create the distinctive Kilmory Edition, the master distillers at Lagg carefully selected Concerto malted barley and utilized water sourced from their very own borehole. During the production process, the malt is peated to 50ppm in the kiln, lending a subtle smokiness to the final product. To enhance the richness and texture, the malt is crushed and agitated in the mash tun, resulting in a cloudy wort that imparts a more oil-laden and robust flavour profile.
