Montresor Satinato Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is a modern, accessible expression of Amarone, presented in its striking black frosted bottle. Produced by Giacomo Montresor—one of Verona's most historic houses, founded in 1892—this Amarone showcases the rich tradition and craftsmanship of Valpolicella winemaking. Full-bodied yet balanced, it is rich, warming and silky, with supple tannins and a fresh, elegant finish.

Why You'll Love It

This is authentic Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from Giacomo Montresor, one of Verona's oldest producers founded in 1892. The Satinato is presented in a distinctive black frosted bottle and represents a modern, accessible style of Amarone. Made from grapes grown in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone, the traditional appassimento method sees grapes dried for four months before pressing. With 2 years maturation in Slavonian oak casks and French barriques, this wine offers remarkable depth, complexity and harmony at exceptional value.

Meet the Producer

Founded in 1892, Giacomo Montresor is one of Verona's most historic wine houses. With more than a century of experience, the Montresor family has built a reputation for producing high-quality, authentic Veneto wines, with Amarone at the heart of their portfolio.

Vineyard & Production

Made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes grown in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone, north-west of Verona. Grapes are hand-harvested late in October and naturally dried for four months before pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by 2 years of maturation in Slavonian oak casks and French barriques, delivering depth, complexity and harmony.

Tasting Notes
