Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a classic Highland single malt, matured wholly in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks for twelve years. This careful ageing allows the whisky to capture the invigorating influence of the North Sea, giving it its signature coastal character with subtle briny notes layered over a natural sweetness from the American oak. In the glass, Old Pulteney 12 Year Old appears deep amber with golden-red highlights and a subtle copper glow. The nose is medium to high in intensity, offering a hint of sea air alongside sweet honey and cream. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, revealing ripe fruits, gentle spices and a faintly salty finish that lingers beautifully. Citrus, vanilla, honey and briny maritime notes combine to create a balanced, approachable dram that embodies the Old Pulteney style. Award-winning and widely acclaimed, including Double Gold at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Silver at the 2023 International Spirits Challenge, Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is the perfect introduction to the range, offering a sparkling, elegant whisky that captures the essence of the sea in every sip.
