With more than 75 years of history, Solar Viejo integrates tradition and modernity in equal parts at its flagship winery, located in the village of Laguardia Winemaker Vanesa Insausti has grown-up making Rioja and gained experience making wines all across the region before settling at Solar Viejo in 2007. Vanesa's aim is always to make the highest quality wines from the very best fruit. Solar Viejo Crianza is made using a blend of base wines made from the Tempranillo grape. Ageing in American and French oak barrels for 12 months delivers a level of complexity that is well integrated with the rich red fruit.
