As the first winery in the Marche region to be certified biodynamic, Pievalta is renowned for its delicious Verdicchio wines, a native grape variety that produces the region's finest whites and excellent sparkling wines. Benefiting from the expertise of Barone Pizzini, one of Franciacorta's most prestigious appellations, the Perlugo is an excellent example of this. Grown on the clay-limestone soils of Monte Schiavo, in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi DOC hills, it displays the fruity freshness and natural acidity characteristic of the variety, as well as a minerality unique to the estate. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, produced using the traditional Champagne method and aged on the lees in the bottle for 24 months, this zero-dosage sparkling wine harmoniously blends orchard fruits and citrus with floral and herbaceous notes, fresh bread and bitter almond. The palate, lively and well-structured, is supported by fine bubbles and a long finish. A sparkling wine with character, perfect with light dishes.
