Taylor’s 2007 Vintage Port is a powerful and refined fortified wine from Portugal’s Douro Valley, crafted in a declared vintage year known for exceptional quality and balance. The wine is produced from grapes grown on Taylor’s three renowned estates—Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco—each contributing depth, structure and aromatic complexity. The 2007 vintage followed a cool, wet winter that replenished water reserves, with a mild summer and ideal ripening conditions in early September. This allowed for slow, even maturation of the grapes, resulting in a wine of great concentration and finesse. The fruit was foot-trodden in traditional lagares and fermented in small batches to preserve purity and intensity. After fermentation, the wine was aged in seasoned oak vats before bottling, where it continues to develop in bottle for decades.
