Douglas Laing has expanded its Remarkable Regional Malts series by introducing a special edition called The Gauldrons, which means 'bay of storms'. This new addition complements an existing line that includes Big Peat from Islay, The Epicurean from the Lowlands, Rock Oyster from the country's islands, Scallywag from Speyside, and Timorous Beastie from the Highlands. Named after the 'dark sandy coves' of Campbeltown, The Gauldrons pays homage to the legend of Robert the Bruce (King of Scotland from 1306-1329), who was inspired by a tenacious spider he observed at these coves. The packaging features an intricate golden spider’s web, symbolising this historic inspiration. Douglas Laing has evidently adhered to a strong sense of tradition in creating The Gauldrons.

ed malt is crafted in small batches, bottled at 46.2% ABV, and presented without colouring or chill filtration.
