The inaugural single cask expression of Oxford Rye Whisky is an exclusive offering from Master of Malt. Distilled from a unique blend of sustainably farmed heritage grains and matured at the Oxfordshire distillery in a 30-year-old tawny Port pipe, it has been released at an assertive cask strength of 56%. This richly fruited whisky possesses a savoury, nutty character paired with a delectably silky texture. The nose is replete with scents of red fruits, juicy blackberries, dried figs, sticky malt loaf, and nutty grist. On the palate, one can discern silky caramel, spiced apple compote, chewy dates, and prunes. The aftertaste features a build-up of peppery rye spice interwoven with delicate meadow herbs.
