Tomatin Cù Bòcan Creation #7 Single Malt is a bold and imaginative Highland whisky that showcases the distillery’s experimental spirit through an intriguing cask combination and lightly peated character. Crafted at the Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, this limited edition single malt is matured in a marriage of Pineau des Charentes Rouge casks and virgin oak casks, resulting in a unique flavour profile that balances sweetness, spice and subtle smoke. The use of Pineau des Charentes Rouge—a fortified wine from western France—imparts vibrant fruit notes and a delicate richness, while virgin oak contributes depth and warming spice. On the nose, Cù Bòcan Creation #7 reveals aromas of rhubarb and custard, layered with gentle heather smoke and sweet oak spice. The palate is smooth and expressive, offering a harmonious blend of creamy fruit, soft peat and toasted wood. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of vanilla, spice and a wisp of smoke that adds complexity without overpowering the spirit. Distilled in small batches during winter and made with lightly peated Scottish barley, this single malt reflects Tomatin’s commitment to innovation and quality. Cù Bòcan Creation #7 is a distinctive whisky that appeals to those seeking something unusual yet refined, and is best enjoyed neat to appreciate its full character.
