A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this 'extreme yet elegant' sparkling wine combines balance, complexity and a rich aromatic bouquet. Produced from the high-altitude vineyards of the Levii estate, situated on the slopes of the Brenta massif in the west of the province of Trento, Levii's DOC Trento Riserva 2018 is made using the traditional method and aged on its lees for at least 66 months. Upon opening, its golden colour is enlivened by a fine, persistent effervescence and a dense, creamy mousse. The nose, intense and elegant, offers notes of slightly candied citrus, orange peel and dried fruit, hints of raspberry and wild strawberry (evoking Pinot Noir) and subtle nuances of bread crust and ginger. Enveloping and well-structured on the palate, with consistent freshness, it displays a fine balance between a creamy texture and real presence, where the vigour of the Pinot Noir enhances the elegance of the Chardonnay. The finish, delicate and flavourful, prolongs the pleasure.
