Vertice is an elegant and complex blend of Carménère and Syrah from Chile's renowned Colchagua Valley. Created at the highest point of the Roblería vineyard in the Apalta Valley, this wine combines the vision of winemaker Felipe Tosso and John Duval of Penfolds Grange fame. The vineyard's unique terroir, with warm days and cool nights, delivers ripe black fruits, gentle spice, and subtle minerality, all framed by silky, refined tannins. Why You'll Love It This is premium Carménère-Syrah blend crafted by winemaker Felipe Tosso in collaboration with John Duval of Penfolds Grange fame. Sourced from the highest point of the Roblería vineyard in Apalta Valley, the grapes undergo low-temperature pre-fermentative maceration to maximise colour and aromas. Fermentation is carried out in small stainless steel and open tanks with careful tannin management. The wine is aged for 22 months in 300-litre ultra-fine grain French oak barrels (40% new, 60% second and third use) and further bottle-aged for at least 14 months. 95 points Descorchados Wine Guide, Highly Commended at The Wine Merchant Top 100. Meet the Producer Ventisquero, meaning glacier in Spanish, pays homage to Chile's icy Patagonian mountains. Driven by innovation and passion, the winery creates wines that reflect the distinct climate and soils of Chile, producing expressive and terroir-driven reds and whites. Tasting Notes Deep, dark ruby in colour, the nose reveals black fruit, black pepper, and delicate spice, with underlying mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is rich, structured, and velvety, finishing long with harmonious tannins. Fo
