An impressive blended Scotch from Loch Lomond, helmed by Rod Stewart, takes centre stage. Wolfie's combines single malt whisky and wheat grain whisky, each distilled separately before a meticulous blend. This spirit reflects Rod Stewart's early rock and roll days, subtly nodding to Americana. The single malt undergoes double distillation in large copper stills, while the grain is distilled in continuous column stills. Matured exclusively in freshly charred bourbon casks before blending, the whisky boasts layers of creamy vanilla, sweet peat, zesty fruit, and silky, buttery oak. Cooked apple, waves of oaken vanilla, a hint of butterscotch, sweet spice, and soft peat grace the nose. On the palate, cinnamon swirls, vanilla pods, and poached pear lead, followed by syrupy flapjack and sweet smoke. The finish features tangy marmalade and more spiced orchard fruits, with charred oak and vanilla lingering invitingly.
