Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is the sophisticated step up from Green Spot in the Mitchell and Son Spot Whiskey range. While Green Spot is often described as tasting like green apples, Yellow Spot is more in character with juicy red apples: richer, more complex, and with an exotic sweetness that sets it apart. Its existence owes something to a remarkable piece of luck: if it were not for the chance discovery of an old intact bottle of Yellow Spot in the Little Museum of Dublin, this delicious bottling might never have been re-released.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Mown hay and cracked black pepper, with red bell peppers, nutmeg, clove oil, and green tea. Sweet honey and peaches from the Malaga casks. Palate: Honey sweetness with pot still spices. Flavours of fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate, and creme brulee, with notes of red apples and toasted oak. Finish: Sophisticated and complex, with sweetness throughout, followed by a mix of red grape and dry barley.
