Sweet spices conceal an edgy undercurrent, making this Pinot Gris both versatile and alluring. You'll note an undeniable whiff of something savory, but it's the bright orchard fruit and steely minerality that stand out here. The 2022 Pinot Gris contains declassified Pinot Gris from the Sommerberg Grand Cru, with a few parcels around the village. The Pinot Gris Réserve was not made in 2022. A touch of pear peel blends in with ripe Mirabelle on the nose, accompanied by subtle smoke. The palate is fluid, fruity, sunny, friendly, bright and oh-so-precise. There's a smiling face on this steely wine. The 2022 is beautifully clear-cut with an edge of hazelnut from oak to add more texture. Some 5 or 6 g/L of residual sweetness adds charm. (Dry)
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
