First produced in 2023, Alma de Castaño is the new flagship wine from Bodegas Castaño, a leading family-run estate in the province of Murcia, in Spain's Levante region. Composed mainly of Monastrell, a local grape variety blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha Tintorera (or Alicante Bouschet), this Yecla appellation cuvée reveals a more contemporary Monastrell style. The 2024 vintage highlights fruit and freshness, favouring a short oak ageing process that brings structure and spicy nuances without masking the varietal identity. On the palate, the silky texture, supported by fine, abundant tannins, gives the Alma de Castaño 2024 maturity, balance and elegance.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
