Official geographic-register context

What the official register confirms about Rioja

BottlePicker found an exact region-name match in an official wine or spirits register. This establishes useful regional context; it does not by itself prove that this particular bottle is entitled to the designation. Check the producer label and specification for that claim.

Enjoy it now, or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant before serving. This is a refined white Rioja, harvested from two plots near the short Obarenes Mountain Range. It begins with delicate notes of white flowers, white peach, nectarines, and citrus rind. It is made from Sauvignon Blanc, planted at about 580 metres above sea level, and the Spanish varietal Macabeo, situated at 615 metres. The Alonso and Pedrajo winery is the result of a union of two families and is located in the mountain town of Villalba de Rioja. The soils here are mostly clay-calcareous, making them perfect for growing rich white grapes, which are typically harvested by hand. The winery was founded in 2011, and the owners are the first in their respective families to pursue winemaking, making their delicious wines all the more incredible. On the palate, the Suane Blanco Reserva is an elegant wine with a long evolution. It begins with flavours of acacia flower and lime and lemon rind, before revealing hints of orchard fruits and a long, mineral-laden finish. This is one of the finest Spanish white wines on the market, and it is perfect for pairing with white fish, soft cheese, or chicken.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
