Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in the Walla Walla Valley, Washington, Bledsoe Family Winery is part of Bledsoe Wine Estates, founded by NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe after his retirement, along with his wife, Maura. The winery's operations are led by renowned winemaker Josh McDaniels. The company has quickly gained recognition for the excellent quality of its wines, a pure expression of the region's diverse terroir. Bledsoe Family Winery Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes with small percentages of Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Merlot, made from premium vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley AVA. After vinification, the wine ages for 22 months in French oak (42% new and 58% neutral) before bottling. In the glass, this robust and distinctive Cabernet shows a deep and bright color with dark ruby tones. On the nose, it displays a broad and ripe aromatic profile with notes of red berries, rhubarb, and blackberry, followed by spicy hints of vanilla and black pepper. On the palate, it is smooth, rich, and generous, with strong, well-integrated tannins and a refreshing, balanced acidity. The finish is long and fruity, with hints of spice. Try it with short ribs or grilled flank steak.
