The Bohigas Cava Brut Reserva NV is a refined and elegant Spanish sparkling wine from DO Cava, offering creamy freshness and vibrant apple fruit. Made using the traditional method, this Cava combines bright acidity, stone fruit notes, and a subtle spiciness, making it a sophisticated choice for celebrations or everyday enjoyment.
Meet the Producer
Mas Macià estate, located near Odena in the Anoia river basin, 50km northwest of Barcelona, produces high-quality Cava from 35 hectares of clay-limestone vineyards. The region’s Mediterranean-Continental climate, low rainfall, and slow ripening create grapes with naturally high acidity and flavour concentration.
Production
Grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness and are made using the traditional method, with a secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine is aged on lees for at least 18 months, developing creaminess and complexity, with a dosage of 6g/l to balance the palate.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of fresh apple, pear, and citrus, complemented by white flowers. Lightly spicy hints of cinnamon and biscuit emerge from extended lees ageing. The palate is structured and creamy, with ripe stone fruit, bright acidity, and a long, textural finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with grilled white fish, chicken dishes, and paella. Its versatility also makes it a perfect accompaniment for light appetizers and festive occasions.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
