Herdade do Rocim was founded by Pedro Ribeiro and his wife Catarina Vieira in the Vidigueira sub-region of Alentejo, an area long celebrated for its viticultural heritage and unique microclimate. Their philosophy is to produce wines that remain faithful to the historical traditions of Alentejo, while combining authenticity with precision and modern winemaking. The estate is also known for championing amphora (talha) winemaking, preserving one of Portugal’s oldest techniques.

Production

This cuvée is a blend of Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, and Trincadeira. The grapes are vinified in traditional concrete tanks before being matured for 6 months in French oak barrels. This combination of materials and techniques balances freshness with subtle complexity.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
