Our visits to de Montille get (thankfully) longer each year as we continue to deepen our relationship with Étienne, Brian and the team. I can’t think of another address in Burgundy that has such strength in its domaine whites and Côte de Beaune reds (and the highly sought after Vosne-Romanée ‘Malconsorts’ cherry on top) so we are delighted to carry a good selection from across their portfolio. "Aged in 600-litre barrels with plenty of lees stirring during its eleven month’s elevage, to give a lot more texture and a little more than weight than you would expect from a regional wine. From plots which Étienne purchased from Château de Puligny Montrachet, near Corpeaux and some declassified Montagny too. "This is a brilliant wine from a top class vintage. It shows the best of the 2020 characteristics with ripe lemon citrus fruit, but that classic freshness we are so used to from Etienne's wines. Mineral and chalky notes give this such a clean feel too. No wonder Brian is super happy with the results." Our note
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
