In the southern part of the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG appellation, the Tuscan estate Villa Poggio Salvi produces a precise and elegant range of Brunello wines. Made from hand-harvested Sangiovese Grosso grapes (the only grape variety authorised for producing this dry, powerful red wine), the 2021 Brunello di Montalcino is characterised by its stony terroir, the complex climatic conditions of its vintage and thirty months' ageing in Slavonian oak barrels. The result is a wine of great concentration, with an intense and distinctive bouquet of red fruits, flowering grapes and lavender, underpinned by velvety tannins and a long, lingering finish. Ideal for special occasions, this refined and flavourful Brunello pairs beautifully with gourmet cuisine that is both simple and refined (red meats and truffle pasta, for example). Enjoy now or keep for the future.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
