Ca' dei Frati I Frati Lugana is a pale yellow wine showing a concentrated and fresh perfume of honeysuckle, apricot, spice and candied fruits. The palate is balanced and expressive, with depth, vibrancy and a crisp, saline finish, showcasing the exceptional quality of Lugana from the southern shore of Lake Garda.
Why You'll Love It
This is Lugana at its finest—aromatic, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Dal Cero family has been producing wine at Ca' dei Frati since 1939, cultivating vineyards on the southern shore of Lake Garda. Franco Dal Cero manages the vineyards while Igino Dal Cero oversees winemaking. Together, they combine meticulous vineyard work with careful winemaking techniques, including gentle pressing, lees ageing and inhibited malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness and enhance texture. The family played a key role in establishing the Lugana DOC and are now its largest vineyard owners.
Vineyard & Production
Grapes are sourced from low-trained single and double Guyot vines aged 12–37 years, planted on glacial alluvial soils that moderate vigour and preserve acidity. The proximity to Lake Garda ensures cool nights and temperate summers, allowing the Turbiana grapes to develop concentrated flavour while retaining freshness. Hand-picked and carefully selected grapes are gently pressed using a pneumatic press. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit character. The wine is then matured on its lees in 500-litre stainless steel tanks for six months before a further two months of bottle ageing.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
