A ripe, versatile and approachable dry white from western Sicily. Floral peach and tropical fruit aromas and a hint of fennel, rounded and gently honeyed flavours on the palate are balanced by lemony acidity. Catarratto is the most planted white grape in western Sicily, producing both Marsala and dry white wines. This wine is a blend of two components, one from near the town of Marsala, the other, from the Catarratto Lucido clone, from hillside vineyards at 600m altitude near Alcamo. In the Winery Gentle pressing, cool, slow fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts. The wine was bottled young after a short period of ageing on fine lees in stainless steel.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
