Deep garnet in color, intoxicating aromas of purple fruits and wild flowers are underscored by notes of cherries, roses, and baking spices. On the palate, it is elegant, with a long spicy finish. This wine manages to be weightless and intoxicating at the same time. Pairs well with slow-roasted beef, demi-glaces, grilled pork and apples, and Beef Wellington. A medium ruby/red hue, the 2021 Barbaresco Santo Stefano is ripe with a lovely perfume of wild strawberries, crushed roses, bergamot, and clove. Very nicely styled as well, it's medium-bodied and has ripe tannins and good concentration. It's elegant red with noble structure, but at the same time, it's weightless and very well done. Drink 2025-2037. A rich, lightly tarry nose with dark berry notes complemented by spices and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is focused and fresh, offering a medium body and vibrant acidity that energizes and extends the wine. Firm, well-integrated tannins. Lingering and mineral-laden finish.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
