What is in this wine, and where it grows

The wine

Castello Romitorio, Romitòro, (Magnum) 2019 Wine (150cl) is recorded as a 2019 red wine made from Petit Verdot, Shiraz, and Syrah in Tuscany, Italy.

Typical grape profile: Petit Verdot — Deeply coloured with violet, blackberry and spice; usually a small blending component in Bordeaux; Shiraz — Ripe dark fruit, chocolate, spice — the same grape as Syrah, in a riper New World style. The finished bottle can differ with vintage and winemaking.

Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

Romitòro is an elegant blend of Syrah and Petit Verdot that expresses the benefits of a moderate climate such as Tuscany’s, where vines grow naturally without needing irrigation and yield an excellent quantity and quality of fruit. The resulting wine is a bold Super Tuscan that attests to the fact that French varietals can thrive in Tuscany and give exceptional quality, whilst retaining an undeniably Tuscan character. This wine is aged for approximately 12 months in oak and is unfiltered.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
