The Chambertin Grand Cru Organic 2021 from Domaine Tortochot embodies all the nobility of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir. Marked by a demanding vintage, where spring frosts reduced yields, this rare wine offers remarkable intensity and purity. Chambertin is one of Burgundy's most prestigious climats, covering only 12.9 hectares. Its brown limestone and marl soils, perfectly drained, produce powerful and deep wines, renowned for their longevity. This exceptional terroir gives the 2021 a racy structure and vibrant minerality, balancing power and elegance. The colour is deep and brilliant. The nose opens with intense aromas of fresh red fruits (cherry, redcurrant), enhanced by floral notes of violet, fine leather and undergrowth. On the palate, the attack is precise and energetic, followed by a full-bodied texture with silky tannins. The long, persistent finish reveals a subtle spicy touch and noble minerality. A wine for ageing par excellence, which will reach its peak between 2025 and 2040.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
