Champagne CH de L'Auche Brut Selection is a fruit-forward, well-rounded house Champagne crafted by the Cave Cooperative de Germigny from grapes grown in the lieu-dit of Auche, just to the west of Reims. Pressed in small stainless steel vats and clarified naturally in ceramic before slow fermentation through the winter months, this is a Champagne of genuine character and approachable elegance.
Why You'll Love It
This is house Champagne at its most honest. Rather than chasing prestige cuvee status, the Cave Cooperative de Germigny focuses on crafting a consistently generous and balanced Brut that delivers real pleasure at every pour. With a dosage of between 9g and 10g per litre, it has just enough richness to feel indulgent without tipping into sweetness. A wine that works as hard at the dinner table as it does in the aperitif glass. Vineyard and Production Grapes are sourced from the lieu-dit of Auche around the village of Janvry, to the west of Reims. After pressing in small stainless steel vats, the juice rests in ceramic for 12 hours for natural clarification before transferring to large steel containers for fermentation through the winter. The wine is then bottled for secondary fermentation and lees ageing, with reserve wines blended in to ensure consistency and depth across releases.
Tasting Notes
Aromatic notes of juicy pear and apricot on the nose are underpinned by more contemplative aromas of hazelnut and fresh bread. The texture is creamy and full-bodied with well-balanced acidity and a persistent, lively bead.
Perfect Pairings
A highly versatile style, equally at home with canapes, mushroom-based starters, soft cheeses, and roasted poultry. Simply poured as an aperitif, it needs no accompaniment at all. Grape Varieties Pinot Meunier , Pinot Noir
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
