The description below is the retailer’s own wording.
This 2013 vintage stems from a year characterised by a particularly late and cool growing season. The cuvée blends Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grands crus, achieving a remarkable balance between power and finesse. Its chalky, mineral structure lends it tension, finesse and a distinctive character. A slow ageing process of twelve years in the heart of the historic chalk cellars allows the wine to develop its full complexity and depth. The Champagne opens with delicate notes of rose petals, before gradually revealing a bouquet of tangy, refined fruits: wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry and pomegranate. As the wine evolves in the glass, spicier nuances emerge, accompanied by notes of blond tobacco and fresh leather, lending depth and length to the aromatic profile.
