A year later than the others, after a mild winter, but a spring with repeated episodes of hail, A harvest that announced itself as difficult but full of quality, a great recompense for all the stakeholders in this Taittinger Brut Champagne reserve made exclusively with first press wines, using a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. Ageing in the cellar for more than 5 years boosts its development. The 2017 is complex on the nose with floral aromas of hawthorn, pear, kumquat and also verbena. It starts out fresh and dynamic on the palette, making way for pleasant floral notes, balanced by the aromas of yellow fruit. A great success.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
