South of the Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet shares with Puligny the undisputed prince of all dry white wines: the divine Montrachet! Morgeot is a name that comes from the Gaulish "Morga" meaning limit, border. The Morgeot climate is indeed on the border between the Côte d'Or and Saône-et-Loire. With a pretty pale yellow colour, this wine releases aromas of ripe white fruit and floral notes with a touch of oak. On the palate, the wine is quite rich and charming with a tangy finish. Marked by an unprecedented frost in early April, this resulted in one of the smallest harvests in Burgundy's history. This 2023 vintage offers a beautiful representation of the expression of its terroirs with fruity wines that are fresh and very refined!
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
