Source-supplied bottle description

Nicolas Thienpont acquired three hectares in the Côtes de Castillon in 2011, near Monbadon’s castle. The vines are located on the top of the limestone plateau, with rock beneath red clay. Three years later, the vineyard grew to 6.5 hectares with new plots not far from St-Philippe-d’Aiguilhe, on a limestone plateau alternating between compact clay and very shallow soils. This 2022 vintage is once again marked by a lively and racy style, with remarkable energy.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
