Known for its consistent quality and classic Margaux character, Château Angludet is a well-respected estate that has produced wines with finesse and structure for over a century. When Benjamin Sichel took charge of wine-making operations at Château Angludet in 1989, he set himself the task of optimising the vines' natural balance. In Benjamin's view, the vines ought to be allowed to regulate themselves naturally, without any assistance. The 2021 vintage in Bordeaux was challenging, with a cooler growing season compared to the previous hot and dry years. Frost early in the season, followed by a cool, wet summer, required careful vineyard management. However, the cooler conditions resulted in wines with lower alcohol, higher acidity, and more restraint. In the hands of experienced producers like Château Angludet, the vintage showcases freshness, purity of fruit, and a more classical Bordeaux style, with emphasis on elegance rather than concentration.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
