Born from a daring gamble – to produce a white wine in a region known for its reds – Chasse-Spleen Blanc is now one of the Médoc's iconic wines. Planted in the 1990s (65% Sémillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc), it reflects a patient approach, guided by the desire to create an elegant, distinctive and racy wine. Since 1995, the cuvée has been winning over a growing audience, captivated by its unique personality and its ability to rival the greatest white wines of Bordeaux. The bright golden yellow colour promises richness and brilliance. The intense and refined nose combines Spanish melon, marine notes and white flowers, with a subtle hint of terpenes. On the palate, the frank and energetic attack gives way to a full-bodied and creamy texture, where flowers and fresh herbs – verbena in particular – bring elegance and freshness. The long and persistent finish prolongs these sensations with liveliness and balance.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
